Apologise - Misunderstanding (Wedding)

In light of my critiques of my previous blog.

First thanks for the comments. Really glad somebody reads this besides me.

First of all it was my good friend and it was pleasure to attend the wedding.
What i meant was not that the particular wedding was not special as it was special.

It was special in terms of what it meant for the bride and groom and people who attended.

I was commmenting on the cultural practice of todays weddings or weddings in general and how particular activites of the weddings with regards to social interaction of the audience and its is sometimes so benign or vain or deceptive.

Also wedding are nostaligic occasions for me which make mean reflect on my life and others hence the talk about death after.

And yes i am self centered (:
good observation!

InEvitable

This weekend i went to a freind's wedding. It was nice and cool as weddings go.
I sat down and watch people everything is new yet everything is as expected. Everybody nicely dressed
trying to look fashionable , sexy and unique and at the same time trying to blend in. This is the expectation at weddings and this expectation they fulfill. At every wedding it is the same including my own. They had the dance and the cake cutting. The bridge cried when dancing with her father. The cake and dancing things is cultural norms due to media influence
on the population. And the media is influence by the dominant culture which is usually in the dominat country.
The act of wedding is a culture in it self. Even though it is rehearsed cultural norm. The tears
shown by the bride is real. It is a summary of change which entitles loss of current living setting
physcially and emotionally and unknown of the the unkown setting to be with her new husband.
Within our cultural norms we express our intense emotions be it negative or positive.

Talking to an old friend in the wedding he reminded me i be 29 next year and then on to thirty.
This morning in the traffic when reflecting i realised i am getting old and soon i would die.
i became sad but why. It is the unkown death that is inevitable. What i am doing with my life.
Am i living it to a fullest. If i did live it to the fullest will it decrease the fear of death
or give me something else to think about other than death. I am scared because life is going
to its inevitable end and i am doing my best to live and so it must be. Somehow it seems unfear.
I am Afraid!
